Live Special Session: The Sky of Our Flag
A live session on the stars and constellations of the national flag.
Synopsis
Did you know that our national flag is the only one in the world that shows a sky full of constellations? And that the Brazilian flag was instituted on November 19, 1889, just 4 days after the Proclamation of the Republic? This month we have prepared a very special live session and an incredible projection on the planetarium dome on the subject.
We will dive into the history and the astronomy of the sky recorded on the national flag and find out which stars, and which 9 constellations, are portrayed there. So get ready for a fascinating journey in the planetarium, with the national flag, its stars and constellations as the theme, and learn more stories and curiosities about it.
